Fraser Beach

Posted: August 30, 2009 in Uncategorized

Went out this morning with my mate Brett and we were also joined again by Brent Pearson. Fraser Beach is located with The national Park at Lake Munmorah. This was actually shot around the southern end of the beach looking back towards Fraser’s.

There are so many good places up here to shoot and I am sure to try and get some different stuff from the area very soon. Thanks again to Brent, who showed us first hand how he does his LIGHT PAINTING stuff and it was cool to see… I cant wait to see what he teaches us on his course in three weeks time……

because I am going on a trip with Mark Stothard and the crew of True North to PNG. It is the trip called ” Adventures in Paradise ” and judging from some of Marks old photos, I am sure it will be amazing…. We are gone for just over a week and if the trip is half as good as the things I have heard about True North, then I am in for one hell of a trip. Ill be taking the laptop, so hopefully be able to post from the boat and am also looking forward to meeting Mark… check his pics out here if you dont know who I am talking about.

Blast from the past……..

Approx 12 months ago, I went to Cairns hoping to get some shots to add to my portfolio. One thign led to another, I lost my sunnies, broke a piece off my light metre and just generally had a shit time up there…… and to top it all off, I had to pay an extra $250 to change my flights home… SHIT SHIT SHIT ! ! !

I may have posted this shot somewhere else, sorry if I have, but to be honest I forgot I even had it…. Maybe I was trying to forget that I had even been up there but it has got me to thinking, what else might I have from the trip…… I will take a look and get back to you guys…..

True North

When I went to The Kimberleys recently, I asked Mark if I could email him or talk to him about a few spots that he would have visited on the boat. Mark was exceptionally friendly and helpful ( bear in mind I had never ever met him, or even talked to him for that matter ) and I found it no surpsrise that a friend I met on the Heli Safari had this to say about True North and its staff……

” Rod, I have been travelling alot and have visited over 70 countries, and do you know what ? The True North is by far the best thing I have ever done in my life ”

Again, I had only just met this guy and here I was flying around in his machine with the doors off doing a spot of heli fishing and talking about the True North and I have no doubt that after speaking with Mark I am sure that his staff and boat people are exactly the same…

True North here I come……
