hey Rod can you post some internal images of the 2 bags as well with a box of matches inside so we can have a reference. Cheer mate and I hope they sell big time for you.

    • Rod Thomas says:

      Casey,

The biggest difference between the two bags internally, apart from the extra space, is the TILOPA comes with the padded laptop sleeve, the LOKA doesnt. All the ICU’s fit in each bag, a small goes in the biggest bag and a large goes in the smallest bag…. etc etc !!

Ill post some images of the ICU’s soon though ok… The large will fit your linhof along with 5DMKII and lenses no worries.

      Rod

  2. Tony Middleton says:

They look pretty sweet Rod, especially the Tilopa. Would they fit a 6×17 and a DSLR kit in them ? (not that i have either/any at the moment). One day down the track I’d like to get one that’s for sure…

  3. Fletch Aka Hackman says:

Ah!!! To have one of those bags would be a sweet thing……

  4. Rod Thomas says:

    Tony,

Let me see what I can work out for you ok. Im expecting a shipment this week, and if I can help you out, Id be more than happy to. They would fit a 617 and dslr easy mate, the linhof / fuji would probably go from top to bottom of the ICU, and the 5DMKII would go on he other side with lenses etc. I have got a friend here with a linhof, Ill ask him if I can borrow it for a few pictures…..

    Hackman,

Patience grasshopper. Will leave here by the end of this week. I was waiting to hear back from Ben, but have not as yet, so if I don’t hear in the next couple of days, Ill just send your by itself.

    Rod

    • Tony Middleton says:

      hey Rod,
Thansk mate – Yeah I guess I’m just curious, cos at this stage I’m a million miles off owning a 617 etc again… But I will hopefully have a 2nd hand 5DII by the end of the wk with a bit of luck 🙂 You don’t realise how much all your gear costs/adds upto until you have to start trying to replace it – grr!

My lowepro that got nicked used to take all that gear and my macbook, but these bags seem a totally different configuration so I have no idea how it works – but they sound awesome and comfy too !

      cheers,
      tone 🙂

  5. Danny Irivne says:

Great bags for sure. I got the Tilopa and I can carry 2 Nikon Pro bodies 5 lenses of which one is a 70-200, 2 teleconveters and a speedflash. That all fits in the large ICU. Plenty of room for all your filters, remotes, spare batteries and what ever else you want to carry. And a well designed harness makes sure that its easy on your back when all that gear is in there. Will be perfect for my trip to the US next year 🙂

  6. Rod Thomas says:

    Tony,

I had an issue with insurance a while back… they were making me pay my premiums on a percentage of replacement cost, or what I could get it for… then when I had to claim, they say ” we can get it for wholesale, this is what were gonna pay you… ” assholes. If I had of know that, I would have got a wholesale price to reduce my premiums.

Anyway, give me a week or so and shoot me a message, I should be able to help you out ok

    Rod

  7. Adam Monk says:

Hey Rod, i got the bag yesterday. I love it, what a great concept for a camera bag, a really smart bit of design, and the harness is a proper one that actually fits and works like it should. i cant wait to try it out properly.
Let me know when the bigger version comes in next year, i think i may have a use for that too…

    Cheers

    • rodthomas says:

      Adam,

Glad to see it arrived safely and you like it. The beauty of these bags is mate, when the Satori is available again, your ICU you have now will just slot straight into it, no worries at all.

Looking forward to seeing what you think of it once you have tested it out

      Rod

  8. Ryan Ennis says:

    Rod,

A huge thankyou for the ‘PERFECT’ camera bag!!

    Lovin’ the Loka…

    Cheers mate

    Ryan

  9. Duc says:

    Hi Rod,

Is it the Tilopa or the new Tilopa BC? Do you have the price list for them and the ICUs? What about shipping cost to Melbourne?

    Thanks

  10. rodthomas says:

    Duc,

Sorry, my mistake. It is the Tilopa BC. I am pretty sure that the Tilopa is not even being made anymore

The Tilopa BC retails for $295. A large ICU is $85, medium is $79 and small $69. It is cheaper though to purchase as a combo, which gets you the bag and ANY ICU you want for $349 ( saving you up to $30 ). Freight to Melb is $25

If you have any more questions, please shoot me an email at studio@rodthomas.com.au or nicole@rodthomas.com.au along with your contact details and I will give you ca call.

Thanks for your interest in the Fstop bag

    Rod

  11. I am loving my Tilopa bag, it is the perfect bag for a travelling nomad photographer like me. Lots of space in the ICU, space for my laptop, lots of extra space and many straps and places to attach tripod, drinking bottle etc. And the harness is the most comfortable on any camera bag, I walked for hours with mine and it just sits incredibly comfortable and never tires your back or shoulders. A winner! This bag actually means I carry all my gear to shoots now, two camera bodies, all the lenses etc. Before I had to leave stuff out as I had no room and my old bag got too heavy.

  12. Hello, i believe that i noticed you visited my website thus i came to return the choose?.I’m
trying to to find issues to improve my web site!I suppose its good enough to use a few of your
    ideas!!
